Transfers, Friendlies And August Results

Hello Everybody!

As You Know If You've Been Reading My Blog, I Began As Charlton And Gained Promotion With Them, But Then I Lost The Motivation For That Game And I Have Started Over With A New Team, Girondins Bordeaux

Here Are The Transfers Ahead Of The 2009/2010 Season In The French Ligue 1

Four Of The Five Transfers Were More Fo The Future, With Kalou, Being For The Present Time

Here Are The Lesser-Known Players

The Friendly Results...

We Didn't Have Too Many Of Them But It Was Probably Enough

And Finally, The August Competitive Fixture Results...

Pretty Poor In My Opinion Especially The Defeats To Marseille And OGC Nice

Thanks For Reading, And Goodbye For Now

Preparing For The Championship...

Welcome To The Latest Post In My Charlton Story!

First Of All, The Board Offered Me A New Contract And....

A Two Year Contract Contract Was Pretty Good For Me.

These Are The Promotion Odds

Surprisingly, We Were 16-1! I Felt That Our Team Was Far From Good Enough To Gain Promotion

The Board Expected Us To Achieve At Least A Mid-Table Finish, But Were Only Prepeared To Give £75K Transfer Budget! I Chose It Anyway

Here Are The Transfers

It Was A Very Busy Transfer Period For Us, Maybe I Overdid It A Bit
The Two That Are Missing At The Top Are The Two Players That Agreed Contracts In January, Simon Ferry And Charlie Mulgrew

The Friendlies....

They Went Very Badly, Even Though The 3 Losses Were To Teams Of Much Bigger Stature
I Was Very Surprised By The 7-0 Defeat To Burnley
My Assistant Takes Care Of Those Anyway :P

That's About It For Now, Thanks, And I Lokk Forward To Any Comments That You Have :)

February, March, April + May

This Is It, The Final Months Of The Season....Here We Go!

In Februaury, We Had A Board Takeover!, The New Chairmans Name Is Mark Downing.

Anyway, Here Are The February Results...

Quite A Bad Month Really, Two Wins And Three Losses

The March Results Were...

A Bit Better, Only One Win Though
This Month Was The Start Of The Crazily Good Form Of Darron Gibson!

The April Fixtures....

A Really Good Month For Us!
Gibson Continued His Great Form

The Two League Fixtures From May Were...

With That...Th Final League Table Stands As....

We Were Into The Play-Offs! It Was A Bit Disappointing But At Least We Still Had A Chance Of Promotion

The Relegated Teams Were: Tranmere(42), Carlisle(41), Exeter(39), Yeovil(31)

The Play-Offs...We Were Pitted Against MK Dons In The Semi-Final...

Here Is The First Leg....

2-2 Away From Home Was Not Bad, It Was All Down To The Second Leg...

We Were Into The Final, Where We Shall Play Swindon Town!

We Won Quite Emphatically, It Could Have Been More If The Likes Of Cillian Sheridan Had Taken All Of His Chances!

So That Was It, We Were Promoted!

Here Is The Squad At The End Of The Season...

4John Sutton, Jonjo Shelvey And Asmir Begovic Were The Best Performers Throughout The Season, With Darron Gibson Showing His Quality Towards The End

Thanks For Reading, And Bye For Now:)

December And January

Hello!
These Two Months Have Been Pretty Eventful!, On We Go...

Firstly, The December Results,

There Were A Few Low Moments In That Month, The 3-0 Loss To MK Dons And The Penalty Loss To Southend In The JPT.

Onto January...

The Victories Over Hartlepool And Wycombe Were Good, The Loss Against Liverpool Was Pretty Bad, But We Won't Have To Play Teams Of That Standard Every Week!

Over The Month, There Was Talk Of A Board Takeover, Which Hasn't Materialised Yet, But Fingers Crossed, We Can Get Someone To Clear The Club's Debts Of Nearly £20M!

I Also Signed A Few Players Including:

Cillian Sheridan(Striker)(£65K)
Chris Gadi(Striker)(Loan)
Sam Hutchinson(Defender)(Loan)
Brice Jovial(Striker)(£35K)

According To My Assistant, I Needed An Extra Defender, So, My Parent Club, Chelsea, Agreed To Loan Sam Hutchinson Until The End Of The Season

Also, Two Players Have Agredd Contracts And Will Arrive On Free Transfers At The End Of The Season:
Simon Ferry(Midfielder)
Charlie Mulgrew(Defender)

And Last But Not Least, The Top Half Of The League Table At The End Of January:

3rd In The League Is Not Bad In My Opinion, But It Is Tight!

Thanks For Reading, I Hope You Come Back For The Next Post :)

September, October...Oh And November!

Hello!, It's Time To Find Out How My Charlton Career Has Panned Out So Far...Off We Go!

The Fixtures...

And The Cheltenham Game Finished In A 1-0 Victory For Us, With, Surprise Surprise, The Ever Present John Sutton, Scoring The Only Goal

The Leeds Game Was A Disaster...I Just Don't Know What Happened
But In The Cup, Against Tiverton, It Was Extremely Easy !

Because The Pictures In The Previous Post Were Too Small, The Main Signings Were:
John Sutton(40K)
Gael Kakuta(Loan)
Asmir Begovic(Loan)
Mark Wilson(Loan)
Lee Naylor(Loan)
Maceo Rigters(Loan)
Darron Gibson(Loan)
Mathias Cardacio(Free)

Thanks For Reading, And See You On The Next Post :)
